Written to be read out loud and to end somewhere quiet. Series parts take about five minutes each, and every story shows its reading time.

One question after the story

Every story ends with a question to ask before the light goes off. It has no right answer. The point is to let your child carry the story on in their own words.

Questions parents ask

How long should a bedtime story be?

Long enough to settle and short enough to finish before eyes close. Our series parts take about five minutes to read aloud. Single stories run from 4 to 18 minutes, and the time is shown on each one.

What ages are these stories for?

The Moon Laundry is written for ages 3 to 6. Every story shows the age it was written for, from up to age 3 to 12.

Do the series need to be read in order?

Yes. Each part works as a single evening, but the last part pays off the ones before it.
